In addition to our digital magazine, The Burgundy Zine content in the form of blog posts, photo stories, and playlists on a regular basis.

The bug behind the blog…

A cynical optimist and mad scientist undercover, burgundy bug is the editor, graphic designer, webmaster, social media manager, and primary photographer for The Burgundy Zine. She is also the founder of our platform.

Entangled in a web of curiosity, burgundy bug’s work embodies a wide variety of topics including: neuroscience, psychology, ecology, biology, cannabis, reviews, fashion, entertainment, and politics.

As far as credentials go, burgundy bug has 12 years of web design experience, she has been a content writer for three years, and she was an established journalist at her college’s newspaper.

Recently, burgundy bug graduated with an associate’s degree in Liberal Arts as well as Journalism. In fall 2020, she will begin her bachelor’s in Health Sciences.

XtaSeay has been a medicinal marijuana patient since 2018 and currently works in the industry, in addition to his career as a musician.

Liliana E. Guzmán is a teenage Mexican-American poet and rock journalist whose work has been previously in Unlost Journal, Moonchild Magazine, Scriturra Magazine, and Five2One, among others. And more recently, receiving publication in a Brazil-based punk zine, IWannaBeYrGrrrl.

Before that, on the edge of sixteen, she was sent into the world of music journalism, where she began and is currently working as an interviewer and photographer for a heavy metal magazine called TheGauntlet.

Her work can be found/and is regularly published under her pseudonym, Teddy, the English translation of a Spanish childhood nickname given to her by her mother. Liliana currently resides on Missouri’s western edge in the country’s heartland.
