Curaleaf to Open its First PA Dispensary in Harrisburg

Nationally-recognized cannabis operator Curaleaf Holdings announced they’re opening the doors to their first Curaleaf-branded dispensary in Pennsylvania on Tuesday, Feb. 2.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held outside of the new dispensary at 7040 Jonestown Road in Harrisburg on Tuesday at 1:15 p.m.

Pennsylvania Welcomes Select into their Medical Marijuana Market

Pennsylvania recently welcomed Select, Curaleaf’s award-winning line of cannabis oil products, into its medical marijuana market — which is currently home to over 100,000 patients, according to PA Gov. Tom Wolf’s administration.

PA medical marijuana patients now have the chance to try Select Elite Live oil cartridges. Select Elite cartridges and Select Elite Ratio Drops are not yet available but will be available at PA dispensaries soon, as well.

Last week, we spoke to Curaleaf Head of Education Griffin Ward to learn more about Select’s products, the Curaleaf brand, and Curaleaf’s acquisition of Grassroots.

He Ain’t Budden: Joe Biden’s Stance on Cannabis Legislation

When asked if his stance on recreational cannabis had changed during a town hall in Las Vegas, Nev. on Saturday, former vice president Joe Biden said he wouldn’t legalize it nationally until there was more evidence cannabis isn’t a “gateway drug.” Okay, boomer.

Yet, recent research shows that cannabis use is associated with a decrease in the use of opioids, and the Centers for Disease Prevention and Control says, “The majority of people who use marijuana do not go on to use other, ‘harder’ substances.”
