Mahik’s shares with us her poem, “The Speaking Soul” for the July issue of The Burgundy Zine.

All I hear is the shore of me
The side of soul, the side so free

All I hear is a voice which speaks
Who’s here in need when away all flee

It feels as it’s the wind’s whispering
It’s me, alright? Not ghost’ king!

I talk to me, it’s weird, you see
But I’m not a spook, I guarantee

I listen to my heart, the soul who has been
Keeping me safe and away from sin

Try it thy, I’ll tell you why
After mum and dad, it has the best advice!!!
