Peter of Joyful Source gives us a few points to consider when throwing a kick-ass Halloween party.

Who would have guessed that the spookiest time of the year is finally here? Not only are we super excited for the arrival of fall and the orange and brown colors and pumpkins, we are also beyond ourselves due to the fact that it’s the holiday season!

The first in line is Halloween, and what can we do to make Halloween interesting this year? Have you thought about throwing a party?

If yes, take a look at this guide as we’ll try to narrow down several ways to make your Halloween party the best one the world has seen!

Mind the Spider Web

Of course, the first thing you need to think about is the decoration of your venue. As far as the venue is concerned, you can either choose to rent a bar or a restaurant and throw a party there, or you can do that in your own home. This’ll depend on your budget and the number of people that you’ll invite.

Once you have your venue settled, you can start thinking about the decorations. The good thing about Halloween is that you don’t have to break the bank in order to decorate it nicely, as most of the ornaments and decorations are DIYs.

You only need several pumpkins to turn into Jack O’Lanterns and plenty of black paper that you’ll use to make bats.

Ask for help from friends or family, as you’ll definitely have a lot of work if you want to make it amazing.

Since throwing Halloween parties can be expensive, it’d be a very original idea to throw a party where people would pay a symbolic price for the entrance. Not only will you be inviting the people you know, but other people, as well.

It’s a great way to make some extra bucks on the side – or simply cover all the expenses of this amazing party.

Witchin’, Winin’, Dinin’

Every party needs a good bar and a good buffet. Of course, your guests aren’t only coming for that, but you’d need to have something for those who would like a bite or two.

As far as the food is concerned, the best thing would be to opt for the best catering services. Not only will you be saving a lot of time, but you also won’t be thinking about what food to buy and how to prepare it. Finger food is best for these events.

The thing with drinks is, on the other hand, completely different. The quality of the drinks matters a lot, and this is where you have to pay a lot of attention.

You can look for amazing Halloween cocktail recipes online and make them (you or somebody else, for that matter), as this is the best and most unique way to celebrate Halloween.

A cocktail party, yes sir. Leave the simple drinks such as beer and wine for some other time.

Next up, it’s time to think about the costumes that the invitees will be wearing. It’s very important that all of them come dressed up as someone – the party won’t be the same if you let people attend it in regular clothing.

In order to make the best party, you’ll need to give several pointers to the guests and make a theme out of it. Yes, it’s Halloween, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t have a theme, does it?

It can be graveyard-themed, where people would come dressed as a deceased celebrity or someone else who’s no longer alive, such as zombies or vampires.

Next, you can play it a bit more vivaciously and organize a masquerade ball from the 1800s. Such parties and oldies’ nights are not organized very often, so this might be a good opportunity for that.

It’s very interesting to throw Halloween parties, we can all agree on it – and unless you do throw one now, you’ll have to wait another 365 days for the next one. So, take a paper and a pen, and start planning it out!
