In the spirit of art and poetry, we’re featuring “Bible Belt,” a poem by The Black Bile.

This will also be featured in the July issue of The Burgundy Zine, along with another poem by The Black Bile, “To Time Travel.”

An Undercurrent Of Remorse,

The Damned Are Too Bleak To Fade.

He’s Got The Talent, Now

Where Did I Put My Puppet Strings?

He’s Gonna Leave It All Up To The Studio.

Just Mouthing Words To Be Part of The Show.

Telling Lies To Stay In Tune.

Hundreds Lost And Thousands Doomed.

And Now He Can’t Even See Me.

Did You Notice, He Can’t See You Too?

If This Is The Life You Wanted,

Then Die.

I’d Rather Witness A Life Distorted

And I

Just Keep Singing Songs To Myself.

Another Notch In The Bible Belt.
