Poet Mahik’s encourages environmental advocacy through her beautiful poetry.

There was a forest long ago,
No roads for to and fro,
Through the woods we used to go,
Now this place is full of roads.

There used to be,
long dense trees,
And fresh air all around.
Now there are tall buildings, And forests are cut down.

We used to listen sweet chirps in the morning,
And some terrifying sounds at night.
The morning breeze was so refreshing,
And so was sunset’s sight.

Where we should feel the nature,
We now hesitate to go out.
God is its maker,
Save it somehow.

Now all we have is polluted air,
Chemicals and plastics, oh no!
Now we have to clean this world,
And some seeds we have to sow.

This place we have to save,
Make sure this land is safe.
Now it’s our responsibility,
To break this nasty cave…
