Ah, pi (Π, π). The delicious 16th-letter of the Greek alphabet and the infamous, endless, irrational mathematical constant – also known as the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter, 3.14159.
Mar 14th is the annual observance of the 4000-year old constant, as the date “3/14” are the first three digits of pi, “3.14”. That leaves us with just one question that, unlike the question “how many digits are in pi?” actually has an answer: how does one celebrate Pi Day?

On Tuesday, the House of Representatives introduced a bill to allow DREAMers and other undocumented immigrants who are temporarily protected to apply for citizenship.
Meanwhile, New Jersey legislators announced a bill to legalize recreational cannabis; The UK Parliament voted against the Prime Minister’s proposed Brexit deal again on Tuesday and announced their plan to leave the EU without a deal today; another Boeing 737 crashed, killing all of its passengers; a federal investigation of a nationwide college-entrance scam is underway; anti-semitism runs rampant among students at Newport Harbor High School; and the World Wide Web celebrated its 30th birthday this week.

Recently, the bassist for The Carousers, Cassidy Crosby, and I spoke over the phone to discuss how the band got started, their experiences performing, as well as their upcoming work.

Bernie Sanders held his first rally for the 2020 United States Presidential Election in Brooklyn on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Michael Bloomberg confirmed that he is not running in the 2020 US Presidential Election, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is under the microscope, HBO aired the second half of “Leaving Neverland,” a church burned down in WV without affecting a single bible, and Target is raising their minimum wage to $15/hr by 2020.
