Love was in the air the week of Valentine’s Day. We started this week by comparing the works of Sylvia Plath and Emily Dickinson, tuned into Sweet Moon by Sundarta on Tuesday, ideas, took a look at what in the world was going on this Wednesday, recounted the night I met my partner, and wrapped things up with an analysis of love from a neurological perspective.

This week, The Burgundy Zine saw the release of the first zine! Woohoo. We wrapped this month up with a review of Jose Antonio Vargas’ book Dear America, Notes of an Undocumented Citizen, Chamomile by atlas, and with a look at what was going on in the world.

This week, we tuned in to Lemon Boy, recapped the first month of the longest government shutdown in U.S. history, introduced eight Democratic candidates who are running in the 2020 U.S. presidential election, dished out the Super Bowl cannabis commercial controversy, and discussed the importance of sparing yourself some change.

Needless to say, this was a week of new beginnings. Between the new year, new congress, and The Burgundy Zine officially breaking into the zine-scene, 2019’s already looking like it’ll be quite eventful.
