Weekly Recap

We began this week by tuning into an interview with alt-rock band VISTA to learn more about their latest EP, “The Ruins,” the corresponding YouTube documentary, as well as their upcoming EP-trilogy.

On Friday, we went over the history and cultural significance of the evil eye.

Later, we released the guidelines for submitting content to The Burgundy Zine #11.

On Saturday, we discussed William Penn’s Quaker ideologies and how it influenced the founding of Pennsylvania, which was the most culturally diverse of the 13 original colonies.

Then, @PhillyDoorways delighted us with photos of beautiful, historical-looking doors found in Philadelphia, Pa and captured by a Google Pixel.

Going Forward

Going forward, our big wheels are going to keep on turning. We’re 11 days away from the release of The Burgundy Zine #11 and we want to feature you – yes, you!

Our upcoming issue is centered around “history and holidays.” We’ll be covering niche historical topics as well as holiday-themed guides and advice.

We are looking for writers, artists, photographers, musicians, models, and advertisers/influencers alike to feature!

If you’re interested, head on over to our “Calling All Contributors – November 2019” post and submissions page for more information.

Until next week,
