Mahik’s reflects upon change and nostalgia for simpler times in her poem, “Yesterday…”

Sitting on my couch,
I think ’bout yesterday,
Or go to the lawn,
Where I think and lay,

Thought so hard,
Then finally got the point,
Before were no malls, but yards,
And a small common joint,

The past moments remind me,
The lost love and unity,
Yesterday was not so mean,
Don’t know where that time has been,

Not gloomy, it was yesterday,
The colors which never seemed grey,
Now here we’re, fearing wars,
Now here we live, feeling warns,

The yesterday had no gizmos,
And no ego on our nose,
But still, it was a blissful place,
And a big heart with lots of space,

Let’s take a vow together,
The love again we’ll gather,
This world will be the same,
As it used to be that way.
