Nearly a century later, swing is back – but with a hip-hop twist.

This week, we’re diving two left feet first into the genre with “April Showers” by ProleteR.

A Bit of Context…

ProleteR is a French music producer who’s discography encompasses a diverse body of high quality beats.

April Showers

April Showers” is a light, upbeat, breath of fresh air that’ll get you out of your seat and boogying on your feet.

This newage spin on a classic sound is nothing short of delightful.

“April Showers” is a great song to play in the background throughout the day to squeeze an extra step into your day. It’s also perfect for spending a night in with someone special and throwing a candid dance party of two.

The track originates from ProleteR’s 2011 EP “Curses from past times,” which features other old timey, jazz and swing inspired instrumentals.

Afterall, it don’t mean a thing if it ain’t got that swing.
