Needless to say, this was a week of new beginnings. Between the new year, new congress, and The Burgundy Zine officially breaking into the zine-scene, 2019’s already looking like it’ll be quite eventful.
Weekly Recap
Happy New Year! Earlier in the week, TVs across America tuned in to watch the ball drop in Times Square at midnight Tuesday, Jan. 1.

To kick off the New Year, there was 20% off the entire P³ Etsy shop. The sale ends today – revel in the savings while you still can!
Wednesday, Jan. 2 marked the official beginning of a new series on The Burgundy Zine by the name of What in the World Wednesdays.
The first installment of What in the World Wednesdays covered Elizabeth Warren’s exploratory campaign launch, movies and shows coming to both Netflix as well as theaters near you, the drones that couldn’t take to the sky on New Year’s Eve, NASA’s New Horizons latest accomplishment, and more!
On Thursday, Jan. 3 a review of the critically acclaimed indie farming simulator Stardew Valley was published to The Burgundy Zine.
Lastly, Friday welcomed the two-week recap of the U.S. partial government shutdown. Which, yes, is still shutdown. At this rate, you can expect a three-week recap here on The Burgundy Zine this upcoming Friday.
Going Forward
Going forward, you can expect blogs to be posted as per usual, including the potential three-week recap of the U.S. government shutdown as well as the second installment of What in the World Wednesdays.
Tune-In Tuesdays, a weekly review of what music I’ve been listening to, will also premiere this week.
Although the January issue of The Burgundy Zine revolving around the theme of More Money, First Issues is nearly ready for publication on the 28th, submissions are always welcome. As the editor, I have no doubt that another article or two could be puzzled in.
However, I have already begun curating content for the February issue, which will be centered around passion. Passion, as in dreams and hobbies, as well as romantic passion.
Blog article submissions are also always encouraged. 🙂
Thank you for a wonderful first week and here’s to a pretty kick ass 2019! Tune in this week for Tune-In Tuesdays, What in the World Wednesdays, as well as a potential probable three-week recap of the U.S. government shutdown.
