Trees

Source: Woodsy Walk 03 | Penelope Peru Photography p3

there is peace to be found in gazing upon the trees,

as the breeze trickles through them with ease,

and drizzle meets down at your feet,

there is life all around you waiting to be found,

but the world all around you is getting too loud,

there is peace in your voice when you say, “baby, please,”

you kiss me once,

i kiss you twice,

from your head to your knees,

by the end of the night we’re talkin’ over hot teas,

teasin’ my hair as i stare at your pearly white teeth,

there’s a girl right beside you, waiting to be found,

but the world all around you is getting too loud,

there’s a space by my shoulder when you’re not around,

so i’ll search for your face in big city crowds.
