Well, uh… We did it. “The Burgundy Zine #6: Summer” was released on Friday and we couldn’t be more grateful for everyone who was apart of it.
Weekly Recap
We dove into the week with our investigation of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)’s gray whale unusual mortality event and the property owners allowing the whales to decompose on their property in, “Why We’re Seeing More Beached Gray Whales,” on Sunday.
Later that evening, XtaSeay and I released our review of Orange Chem Soda by Prime Wellness for our Strain of the Week series.
On Tuesday, we tuned into the indie-folk singer Thiago Muller’s latest single, ‘My Favorite Song.’
Then, we spoke to CEO and founder of Pashion Footwear, Haley Pavone, about her invention: heels that transform into flats in seconds with a simple twist and pull, on Thursday.
On Friday, Sydni “Smoki Daze” Adams blew our minds with her Summer Lookbook.
Afterwards, we stopped by Lush to learn more about their ‘Shark Attack’ campaign. We also learned a bit more about the history of the company, as well as Amber “Ber” Mancini, the floor leader at Lush’s King of Prussia Location, and her personal experience with them.
Just before the clock struck 12, we released the sixth issue of The Burgundy Zine, which focuses on summer time. Inside, you can find articles about skincare, makeup, fitness modeling, marine biology, cannabidiol (CBD), and more. We’ve also included interviews, reviews, and photostories.
Going Forward
Going forward, we will be focusing on content for the seventh issue of The Burgundy Zine, which is centered around art & poetry.
We want to feature your work! Head on over to our submissions page for more information. Please also bare in mind that any submissions for this issue must be sent to us by July 27th.
Be sure to keep an eye out for this Sunday’s installment of Strain of the Week later today.
We will also be publishing photos from the Poconos and Longwood Gardens over on Penelope Peru Photography over the next few days.
Don’t forget to keep your ears open for this week’s installment of Tune-In Tuesdays, as we will be featuring an interview with the Ariz-based dance pop band, Harper and the Moths.
Until next week,
