Brooklyn-based art therapist Jessie Novik inspires us with a speed art video of a mural she painted on her door.

“I realized I could practice self-care and continue to grow professionally at the same time, from the comfort of my own home.”

“As an art therapist who is still seeing clients through zoom, I wanted to give my participants a glimpse into my creative process and show them that I’m still staying actively engaged in what I do,” Novik said via email. “I also wanted to enhance my virtual backdrop.”

In addition to her personal creative endeavors, Novik has lead community-based public art projects throughout New York and Connecticut.

“Figuring out how to transform my workload and lifestyle in order to keep moving forward with my professional goals has been the main focus of my recent work,” Novik added.
