A significant portion of my adolescence was spent binge-watching speed art videos and tutorials. I gushed over Instagram artists, salivating at the idea of trading my hands for theirs — although trading brains would be more logical since creativity has a neurological basis.
Then, it finally dawned on me the other day. There’s an unspoken dichotomy between the hallmarks of a great artist and the skill level of a talented artist.

Indie-electric band Moontower encourages you to join them for unique, cutting-edge, interactive performances as they jam from home on their “What Day Is It?” virtual tour.
“The tour will include live performances in front of captivating art installations, LED light shows (from the same team as Coachella), interactive elements such as choose your own adventure setlist voted by the fans, giveaways, social hour complete with Q&A’s and games, custom Zoom downloads and exclusive merch and lots of special guests from around the world,” the press release for the virtual tour states.
Tickets for the performances tomorrow night and Thursday evening are just $9 — and it’s in support of a great cause. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the National Independent Venue Association.
