It’s that time of the year again, bug buddies. “Mathemusician” and anti-Pi enthusiast YouTuber Vihart has returned with another one of her infamous “Anti-Pi Rant” videos.
This year, Vihart dives into various scenarios in which Pi itself contracts the coronavirus and spreads it exponentially to humans, other numbers, and of course, aliens.

“Usually on Pi Day 3.1 million people flood the streets to celebrate or protest,” Vihart says at the beginning of the video. “But this year, due to the new coronavirus, we are having a purely online event so I’ll have to ask you to please restrain yourself somehow from gathering in a large pi-enthused or pi-furious crowd.”
Cheeky and lighthearted, the core of this year’s “Anti-Pi Rant” encourages viewers to prevent the spread of coronavirus by staying at home, dropping off supplies to those who may be infected (so they don’t go to the stores themselves), and wash their hands.
You can learn more about pi day by reading our article from last year, or continue exploring Vihart’s “Anti-Pi Rant” playlist.
