We began this week with the poem, “Favorite Memory,” written by Marshall James Kavanaugh on a typewriter in Rittenhouse Square park.
Depending on what timezone you’re in, late Tuesday evening / in the wee hours of Wednesday morning, we tuned into the album “No Village” by the indie-folk artist, Kuri.
On Wednesday, we published the poem, “longing,” followed by “freedom has a name,” on Friday.
On Friday, we also covered the event Herbology hosted at Founding Farmers to celebrate their upcoming dispensary in King of Prussia, which will be opening its doors soon!
On Saturday, we learned more about the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), a nonprofit organization that has been defending equal rights for all over the last 99 years.
Shortly thereafter, we published the poem “gazing upon the trees,” as well as a review of the book “Weed the People: The Future of Legal Marijuana in America” by Bruce Barcott.
Going Forward
Going forward, you can look forward to more poetry, work from some of our favorite artists, a review of the book “Born a Crime” by Trevor Noah, as well as an interview with Health Canada experts about one of their latest information updates, among other content.
As always, you can expect an installment of Tune-In Tuesdays this week. Although there’ll be no Strain of the Week later today, it will be returning next Sunday!
In the meantime, you can direct your gaze towards photos from The Barnes Foundation as well as The Philadelphia Museum of Art.
