From social media marketing tips to taking pride in your business, motivational speaker and writer Rosalyn L. Farmer helps entrepreneurs grow their business through her enriching weekly podcast, “Words of Advice Business Show.”

“Most of the people I come in contact with always say, ‘Oh, I want to start my own business, I have ideas, I have visions, I have dreams,” Farmer says in the latest episode of her podcast. “Now it’s time to put that into action. Where do you start and what do you do?”

For the last decade, Farmer has inspired business owners through her articles, which have been featured in Bronze Magazine and ESHE Magazine, among other publications.

Farmer understands the corporate cookie-cutter mold isn’t for everyone. She centers her work around flexibility and creativity to help millennials see they aren’t bound to the nine-to-five daily grind.

“Entrepreneurs like myself want to be our own boss,” Farmer says later in the episode. “We set our own goals, we control our own progress, and we run our business how we see fit.”

“We recognize that our business success or our failures rests on our shoulders… We set our mark for freedom.”

“This is the age of small business growth,” Farmer says. “This is the age right now where people don’t want to work for nobody anymore. People want to get out of that. I really believe that within the next 10, 20, 30 years, you’re going to start seeing people become their own business.”
