As we enter the final 10-day stretch before the release of “The Burgundy Zine #8: Reflections,” we’re encouraging you to reflect upon the good ol’ times with us as a community.
The grass is always greener on the other side, after all.

We began this week with “What I’ve Learned From Hiking” on Sunday, followed by “On the Other Side of Chaos” by Hala Karim on Monday.
On Tuesday, we released, “The Cycle of Self-Hatred: An Anthology” by D. AllBee. Then, we tuned into the album “REVOLUTE” by Katey Brooks.
On Wednesday, we published, “What I Learned From a Five Year Old at Whole Foods” before releasing the poem “Yesterday…” by Mahik’s and “What I’ve Learned From Taking Public Transportation” on Thursday.
On Friday, Ke’Aysha S. gave us a glimpse of the world through her eyes via photography on Instagram. Afterwards, we learned more about the business permit classes offered by the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture (PDA) and Penn State Extension (PSE) for those operating within the counties under quarantine for Spotted Lanternflies in, “Joining the Battle Against Spotted Lanternflies.”
Finally, we wrapped up this week with the poem “cafe forever” on Saturday.
Going Forward
Going forward, we will continue releasing content in line with our theme as we prepare for the release of The Burgundy Zine #8: Reflections.
To make up for our lack of a Strain of the Week last Monday, we will be releasing a bonus installment in addition to our routine, weekly review. As always, you can expect to keep an ear out for our Tune-In Tuesdays series as well.
In the meantime, send on over your submissions for the Aug issue of our digital magazine! The deadline, Aug 27th, is just nine days away!
