Due to recent events, we’ve decided to delay the launch of our online merch store.

However, the show must go on! This month’s issue of The Burgundy Zine is still scheduled for release on March 28th.

Weekly Recap

We began this week with a little advice from EdMission Possible on how to handle being rejected from your dream college. After all, everything happens for a reason.

Then, we spoke to Vanguard Communications CEO Ron King about online complaints against doctors and steps the healthcare industry can take to improve the patient’s experience.

On Tuesday, we tuned-in to a special interview with Neverman’s lead-singer Matt McGown to discuss their latest EP, “It’s Not a Prison, It’s a Prism.”

On Wednesday, we reviewed Annaka Harris’ insightful book, “Conscious: A Brief Guide to the Mystery of the Mind,” and TiyaraV of Fucktional Introvert encouraged us to treat ourselves to a little self-love.

On Friday, we took a closer look at high fructose corn syrup: how it’s made, why some believe it’s “bad for you,” and how to cope if you’re struggling with fructose malabsorption.

On Saturday, Bluestream Health taught us about their free telemedicine platform for physicians to consult with patients who may have contracted coronavirus.

Last, but most certainly not least, we took a moment to observe Pi Day by taking a slice out of “mathemusician” YouTuber Vihart’s annual Anti-Pi Rants.

Going Forward

Going forward, we’ve decided to delay the launch of The Burgundy Zine merch store.

We had originally intended to launch the merch store in mid-April, but have decided to postpone due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Although we can guarantee our handcrafted products are produced by non-affected individuals, it’s better to be safe than sorry – especially considering that we’re based in an area that’s on a county-wide lockdown.

We sincerely apologize for the delay and strive to make it up to our audience when conditions permit a safe merch store launch.

On the flip side, “The Burgundy Zine #14: Healing” is still set to release on March 28th. We’re so excited about our first bi-monthly issue can simply can’t wait to share it with you!

Furthermore, there’s still time to submit content to us for this issue. Friday, March 21st is the submission deadline. You can learn more about contributing to “The Burgundy Zine #14: Healing” here.

In the meantime, be sure to follow us on Instagram for the latest zine updates.

Stay healthy, bug buddies. Wash your hands and embrace the circumstances as a (hopefully) once-in-a-lifetime pass to be a homebody in socially-acceptable conditions.
