Weekly Recap

We began this week by asking ourselves, “Should You Feel Challenged By Your Work?” on Sunday.

On Monday, artist Mary Alexandra inspired us with her experiences with self care and self love.

On Tuesday, we tuned-in to London-based folk singer-songwriter Katherine Abbott’s latest single, “Lullaby For Lucas.”

Then, we tuned-in to UK-based reggae band Rebel Control’s latest single, “We Nah Got No Money (But We Got Love).”

On Wednesday, experts at Decision Data shared pertinent information about insomnia and various modern-day sleep aid solutions.

Next, we honored National Clean Beaches Week by reminding you to stay safe and environmentally aware of your impact.

On Thursday, we encouraged you to check out Varsity Tutors’ free online summer camps and virtual classes.

Afterward, editor burgundy bug candidly discussed her experiences with haircuts and their role in identity validation.

On Friday, we announced our updated advertising prices.

On Saturday, we directed our Artist Spotlight toward Duran Jay, a makeup artist who specializes in insect-inspired looks.

Last — but most certainly far from least — we shared a free psychic eagle sticker with you in celebration of the Fourth of July.

Going Forward

This week, we’re announcing our updated submissions policy — be sure to keep an antenna out!

We’ve also started laying out the upcoming issue of our digital magazine, “The Burgundy Zine #16: Skin Care, Self Care,” which will be released on July 28.

In the meantime, please enjoy the rest of your holiday weekend… Even if every day has felt like a holiday weekend for the last few months.

Until next week,
