Between birthdays and bustin’ out posts, we’ve wiggled our way through to the final stretch before the release of “The Burgundy Zine #8: Reflections.”

Weekly Recap

We began this week with the article “Forest Bathing” by Fiona McHugh on Monday.

Later that evening, we released our reviews of the Cartsdom Roulette and the Ice Cream Cake flower by Terrapin for our special, double-feature installment of Strain of the Week.

On Tuesday, we tuned into “Feels Like Summer” by Samuel Jack, followed by the article “‘Still, I Rise’ – Thoughts and Reflections on Women’s Empowerment” by McHugh.

On Wednesday, we covered local legislators’ town hall about gun violence and legislation in Pa. Sen. Tim Kearney (D-26) was joined by multiple state representatives for a panel discussion and field questions from constituents on the issue.

On Thursday, it was burgundy bug’s birthday! No posts were released that day.

On Friday, Emily Barnes gave us tips and tricks for traveling around and enjoying New York on a budget.

On Saturday, we discussed the US Geological Survey (USGS)’s recent findings about water in Kilauea, the youngest and most active volcano on the island of Hawai’i.

Going Forward

UPDATE:
Please refer to “A Burgundy Announcement: Scheduling Updates for the Week of Aug 26” for updated scheduling information.

Going forward, we will be releasing another article by McHugh later today. We may also feature just one or two more reflections to wrap up our theme for the month.

We will also be releasing routine installments of our Strain of the Week and Tune-In Tuesdays series.

On Aug 28th, we will be releasing “The Burgundy Zine #8: Reflections.” The absolute deadline to submit content for this issue is Aug 27th.

Please note: Although we always encourage writer submissions, this issue of The Burgundy Zine is full. We are sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. Please do consider submitting your article for the Sept issue of our magazine, which is focused on “Back to School!”

We do, however, have room for a few more photostories or advertisements. If you would like us to feature your art, photography, or advertise your product/service, please refer to our submissions and marketing pages respectively.

Until next week,
