In case you missed, we updated our submissions policies this week.
Oh, and we released an article about burping that ends in an important life lesson learned from “Shrek.”
With that, let’s dive into our weekly recap!
Weekly Recap
We began this week with the beautiful artwork and poem “Visions and Perceptions” by Saumya.
On Tuesday, we tuned-in to an interview with the bi-coastal goth-metal band Novarium to learn more about their single, “Virus.”
Then, we tuned-in to a review of Los Angeles-based pop artist Cooper Phillip’s single “Not Perfect.”
Afterward, we shared news about indie-electric band Moontower’s virtual tour that took place earlier this week.
… Phew! Talk about a jammin’ Tuesday, am I right?
On Wednesday, we directed our Artist Spotlight toward Jessica Abella, a small business owner who specializes in resin pieces.
Then, we encouraged you to checkout Noissue for custom, sustainable packaging solutions.
On Thursday, Peter shared five vital tips for maximizing your wellbeing this summer.
Afterward, editor burgundy bug reflected on “What makes a truly great artist?” in another installment of our “Bug’s Philosophy” series.
On Friday, we released information about our updated submissions policies. More information is available in our Privacy Policy, as well.
If you have any questions about our updated submissions policies, please contact us.
On Saturday, we explored the science behind why we burp and how the hell to make it stop.
Last — but most certainly far from least — Priti delighted us with her poem, “BOOKS.”
Going Forward
The deadline to submit content for “The Burgundy Zine #16: Skin Care, Self Care” is just around the corner! We encourage you to learn more about submitting content for this upcoming issue of our digital magazine here.
Right now, this issue is roughly 120 pages. Based on the content we have scheduled over the coming weeks (and accounting for any potential submissions before July 21), we predict this issue will be within the range of 140 to 160 pages. This is pretty consistent with the length of our last two bi-monthly zines, as well.
You can look forward to seeing more progress updates for “The Burgundy Zine #16: Skin Care, Self Care” on our Instagram story.
In the meantime, stay healthy, stay safe, and be responsible if you decide to go to the beach this summer!
Until next week,
burgundy bug >:^)
